I’ll email you, John, and see what you have in mind.
please tell me steps to run this cold fusion script. i dont knoe how to run cold fusion file. whn i m opening it on browser it is opening in dreamweaver.
please help me out asap
You first have to have ColdFusion running on your server. Sounds like you don’t. It’s not something that you would normally run on your desktop machine. It is a web application that must run on a ColdFusion server. You can find ColdFusion hosts by searching, or you can purchase ColdFusion from Adobe.
Hi Donna,
I was wondering how you tackled the coding for email notification of events in evcal. Thanks.
If I remembered, Miles, I’d tell you.
Still, the code is free, so you can go download it and find out!
Hi Donna;
You still have the Dine@ script available? I’ve been searching for something similar I’d love to see how yours worked.
Thanks,
Kurt
No, Kurt, I sure don’t have that one anymore. I’m not sure why either. I barely remember it, but I assume I must have gotten rid of it for a reason. Sorry.
I need to develop a CF website for handling online hotel reservations. Is your evCal application the answer for this? If so, is there anything that involves me contacting my hosting company to get them to install something on the server-side to make it work?
Thank You
No, rising tide, evCal isn’t the answer for that, but Red_Reservations might be. Download that one and see if that works for you. Your host MUST have ColdFusion installed on the server for any of these to work, however. Most hosts don’t, so yours may not.
Hi, I installed SalesAct on my server but when I login as manager/mgr I get an error back: “Data source salesact could not be found”. My server tech support guy said there was a problem with the code. Maybe I just don’t have the correct path in Aplication.cfm.
Can you help me, please?
LOL, David, I did make these scripts free with the condition that they came with no support, but since I’m in a giving mood, I’ll give you some anyway.
You must set up a datasource on your server and give it the proper information about it in Application.cfm. That error code is indicating that it doesn’t exist. So go to your ColdFusion admin and set up a datasource there, telling it where the database lives. Then put that datasource info in Application.cfm Good luck.
Thank you for your response, Donna. I did set up a datasource on my server with an access driver. But, I guess the way I have put that datasource info in Application.cfm it can’t be found. I have spent probably about 24 hours trying to get this to work and i’m willing to pay someone to help me. Do you know of someone?
Hi there, thinking of getting SalesAct Sales Automation Tool. I am setting up a recruitment business. I was wondering if it does the following..
1. Export to Outlook and vice versa (particularly the calendar).
2. Allow mail merge with Word, etc.
3. have followup alerts, like pop ups, etc..
cheers
Vince
Vince, if I remembered, I’d be sure to tell you, but that’s one of the reasons I’ve made them all free - so I don’t have to remember.
It’s free, so just download it and try it. That’s the best I can tell you. It’s been too long and I’ve done way too many things since then. I just don’t remember. Sorry.
