Free eBook Covers

Raise your hand if you’ve ever tried to find some decent-looking free ebook covers that you could modify and make your own? Now everybody who actually found some that didn’t look like absolute cr@p, keep your hand raised. What? Nobody? I’m not surprised. It’s practically impossible to find sample ebook covers that are both FREE and LOOK GOOD.

Granted, there’s a good reason for that. eBook Cover Designers want your business, and eBook Cover Software makers want to sell you their software. Understandable. Still, this is the Internet, for goodness sake! We can ALWAYS find decent free stuff, right? Well, no, not when it comes to ebook covers, but I’m hoping to change that little by little.

When I get time, I’m going to create more and more sample covers that anyone can download for free. These will be samples – meaning, you should add your own text to them – and maybe even some additional graphics (photos of a person, money, etc). But the starting sample image will be nice looking – and a lot better than any free sample I’ve ever been able to find.

So below are the first few. I’ll add to the collection over time. I hope some of you find them useful. If so, please link to this post so that others can take advantage of them as well. If you want some really professional looking covers made, then you should definitely either hire a professional to create custom ebook covers for you or purchase a software tool to design your own. Oh and if you’re already a graphics pro and own Photoshop CS3, you can download a free Photoshop action script to turn your 2D design into a 3D cover here. But if you just want decent looking samples to edit and customize without costing you a dime, one of these might be just what you need. Right-click one you like, choose Save As and enjoy.

Make Money Online Fast

Selling an ebook is one of the best ways to make money online fast, but you need to convince visitors that what they are about to purchase is worth their money. A good looking ebook cover is one of the ways to make that connection, but if you need money fast, it’s possible that you can’t afford to hire anyone to create one for you. I’ve been there, and that’s why I made these for you. Hope they help.

If you want a simple online way to create your own ebook cover, at a stunningly low price, then I recommend using MyEcoverMaker. The current prices are:

* Free to create and then $3.95 to download one cover
* $9/month to create and download unlimited number of covers during that month
* $90/year to create and download unlimited number of covers during that year

Awesome, yes?

    Thanks Donna,

I am putting together my first ebook. The content is done. It’s like you said. Finding the format template for the ebook and then one for the cover. Has presented a few challenges for me. And delayed me in getting it going. Small business owners need “tools to succeed” and the budget to get them! Thanks for providing these free ebook covers.
